Changelog

What we've shipped recently.

We ship continuously. Here's the recent stuff worth calling out.

ReportsJune 2026

Built-in billing reports

Generate billing reports directly in LocateOps — station-code unit rates and per-customer hourly rates (field and travel hours), with standard, project, and emergency rate categories. Run them over any date range and export to CSV for invoicing.

WorkflowJune 2026

Priority tagging for tickets

Tag tickets Normal, High, or Urgent for internal triage. Priority badges surface on the dispatcher board and ticket lists, and tickets can be sorted and filtered by priority — all internal, with no effect on completion packages or call-center pushes.

FieldJune 2026

GPS-stamped photos

Photos now capture location — live device GPS on mobile and embedded EXIF coordinates on the desktop app — stamped with a timestamp and a one-click link to view the spot on a map. Works offline; coordinates sync with the photo on reconnect.

DesktopJune 2026

LocateOps Desktop app — now available for Windows

A native Windows desktop app built for the field. Work fully offline — view, edit, and complete tickets, draw sketches, attach photos, and run audits with no connection — and every change syncs automatically the moment you're back online. Data is encrypted on-device, with native dashboard, reports, and dispatcher views built for the desktop, plus automatic updates.

DesktopJune 2026

Offline conflict review

When two people edit the same ticket, sketch, or audit offline, the desktop app now parks the clash and shows both versions side by side — keep yours or theirs, field by field for tickets and whole-state for sketches and audits. Routine edits still merge automatically; only genuine conflicts surface for review, and the whole flow works offline from the local cache.

MappingJune 2026

Infrastructure records on the map

Display utility-owner infrastructure — gas mains, cables, poles, and survey captures — as a background layer on ticket maps, sourced from GISOps. Toggle layers per company and click any feature to see its attributes.

WorkflowJune 2026

Bulk renegotiation & bulk cancellation

Select many tickets at once and renegotiate them to a new date or cancel them in a single action — with one shared reason, optional file attachments fanned out per ticket, and call-center updates queued automatically.

FieldJune 2026

Sketch import & dig-area sizing

Import sketches from another ticket on the same locate — search by ticket number, pick the pages you want, and get independent copies you can edit freely. Tickets now also show an approximate dig-area size, surfaced in reports and CSV exports.

ReportsJune 2026

Report templates & per-locator productivity

A templates gallery for the reports you run most — per locator, per excavator, per station code, and a monthly units matrix — each running instantly on a fresh date range. Per-locator reports now include completed counts, on-time %, units per ticket, and completed per work day.

PerformanceJune 2026

Performance upgrades

A platform-wide performance pass — faster tickets-board loads, snappier ticket detail, and quicker completion-package generation across the app.

FieldJune 2026

PWA + offline mode — fully shipped

Offline mode is fully shipped. Field locators can install LocateOps to their home screen and keep working with no signal — view assigned tickets, record completion utilities, field markings, and remarks, and view sketches — with every edit syncing automatically on reconnect. Enabled per company.

SecurityJune 2026

Row-Level Security audit — hardening complete

Completed comprehensive Row-Level Security audit across all tables, including new SECURITY DEFINER permission helpers and additional tenant isolation tests.

IntegrationMay 2026

Irth/BYDP inbound — BC, AB, MB, SK

Direct inbound ticket integration with Irth/BYDP is live for British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, alongside existing ON1Call coverage in Ontario.

PlatformMay 2026

Utility Owner portal

Dedicated read-only portal for utility owners. See locate work across every locator company that touches your infrastructure, with private audit capability and station-code filtering.

WorkflowApril 2026

Geofencing with optional scope mode

Define geographic areas per company, assign users to them, and optionally restrict locators to tickets in their territory. Tickets compute membership on save and edit.

CloseoutApril 2026

In-app PDF annotation

Bluebeam-style markup built directly into LocateOps. No separate tool to license; annotations are attached to the ticket record.
